Chyloe Powell is an Experienced Merchandiser in brand start up and sustainability. A creative and dedicated result-driven individual, with 11 years working in the fashion industry at various levels.

After graduating from The London College of fashion having studied Women swear design and Pattern cutting, Chyloe realised that her passion wasn’t design but was more about the business aspect, and wanted to combine this with her love for numbers.

She started her Career at Morgan retail as a retail operations coordinator and quickly learnt the fashion retail cycle. Whilst there she was head hunted by Ted baker this is where she really began her journey in the fashion industry as a menswear wholesale allocator, and learnt the fundamental values of what it takes have a successful career in Merchandising.

Her Current position at Phase Eight as A women’s wear merchandiser has been her biggest achievement to date, Chyloe is responsible for trading multiply departments with a turnover of over 30 million to drive sales and profit whilst striving to achieve targets and enhance brand presence. Her main focus is to work with the buying team to select a coherent range within budget by accurately forecasting trends, and analysing previous seasons in order to achieve growth, maximise profit and reduce risk.

What set Chyloe abreast from the rest is that she has a very commercial and creative eye, combined with strong negotiation, analytical and organisational skills. This has resulted in her developing innovative ways to predict market and sales trends to fundamentally increase the bottom line.
