After graduating in Law from Manchester Metropolitan University Chika decided not to pursue a career in law.

In 2010 she joined one of the leading legal recruitment agencies in the north west specialising in placing law graduates, paralegals and qualified lawyers law firms, specifically within the insurance sector. Moving back to London in August 2011 she joined DMJ Legal where she currently works as a commerce & industry legal recruiter. Since joining the boutique legal recruiter her clients have included AOL, AXA, the Discovery Channel, Intercontinental Hotel Group & the Hutchinson 3g.

Chika is also actively involved in promoting diversity within the legal profession and recently organised DMJ’s first diversity seminar in association with leading international law firm King & Spalding LLP where they discussed the issue of social mobility and access to the legal profession for people coming from socially diverse and disadvantaged backgrounds.

Although not a lawyer herself, the nature of her role means that she has an in-depth understanding of the legal profession and what employers look for when they are recruiting from the most junior to the most senior level roles.
