Ken joined Barclays in Jan 2004 and in the 11 years has held a number of positions within the group. He started in Barclaycard as a Business Improvement Manager responsible for identifying and delivering operational change to ensure customer service contact centres met their key objectives. He moved on to a Business Design role 2 years later where he was responsible for leading the customer experience and operating model design, implementation and readiness for the launch of new white-labelled credit card joint venture businesses to the market in partnership with leading retailers.
Ken joined corporate banking in 2007 as an Operational Re-engineering Leader responsible for improving business operating models and supporting processes to meet changing regulatory, market and client needs. He went on lead client satisfaction benchmarking and improvement which measured Barclays Corporate Banking performance against domestic competitors. He moved into his current role in Jan 2012.
Prior to his career in financial services, Ken stared his working life as an Engineer having graduated from university in Civil Engineering. His first project as a graduate engineer was the construction of the A50 dual carriageway through Stoke-on-Trent.

He made a personal decision after three years to change his career and joined GE Capital Services in 1996 where he trained and obtained professional accreditation in six sigma, a business improvement methodology and went on to deliver profitable improvements to key business models.
After four years at GE, Ken joined Motability Finance Limited in Sept 2000, the main provider of leased vehicles to people in receipt of the higher rate disability living allowance. As an operations project manager Ken was responsible for delivering change to operational processes to enable the smooth running of the leasing scheme.
Ken has built a successful career in financial services largely centred on business design and re-engineering.

Away from work, Ken is a devoted father of three. He regularly volunteers for community projects and has recently become involved in mentoring young people.
Although his 5- a -Side and Sunday league playing days may be over, Ken enjoys watching football and is an avid supporter of Manchester United, which always means heated banter with his friends, most of who support either Arsenal or Manchester City.
